Beef Caldereta

Simpleng Beef Caldereta para sa inyo! Try this recipe, and I swear, you and your family will love this!

Ingredients

2 cloves garlic

1 small onion 

3 small potatoes

2 medium carrots 

1 red bell pepper 

2 tbsp oil

1 kg beef ribs

2 tbsp of fish sauce

2 cups of water 

3 pcs bay leaf

ground pepper

6 tbsp tomato paste 

4 tbsp liver spread

chili flakes (optional)

1/2 cup green peas (optional)

1/2 cup of grated cheese


Instructions

1.  In a large cooking pan, saute the sliced carrots and potatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes. Set aside when done.

2. In the same cooking pan, saute garlic and onions. 

3. Add the 1 kg beef ribs, then add 2 tbsp of fish sauce. Cook for 5 minutes. 

4. Add 2 cups of water and 3 pcs of bay leaves.

5. Add the ground pepper. 

6. Cover and cook for 50-60 minutes

7. Add the 6 tbsp tomato paste and 4 tbsp liver spread. Sprinkle some chili flakes. 

8. When it's saucy enough, add the 1/2 cup of green peas. 

9. Cook for another 5 minutes.

10. Add 1/2 cup of grated cheese.  

11. Serve with hot rice <3 



Important  Notes:

As noted, the chili flakes are optional, especially if you're feeding kids with that recipe. Best for any occasion (party, dinner, etc).
